Our Mission
The purpose of the CCC CalWORKs Association is to provide leadership for the development, implementation and promotion of effective CalWORKs programs within our California Community Colleges while recognizing and strengthening our professional responsibility to serve CalWORKs students. The Association will create an opportunity for Community College professionals to:
- Network and collaborate
- Influence the development of sound policies at the national, state and local levels
- Receive professional development and communication resources
- Advocate and facilitate equal educational opportunities that lead to family self-sufficiency for our CalWORKs students
- Seek liaisons and partnerships with other educational and community based organizations and key state agencies which advance the mission of the Association.
The CCC CalWORKs Association can serve as an organized format for our California Community Colleges to become a collective voice for our CalWORKs students.
